To recognize the voluntary contribution of the reviewers, all the reviewers are automatically eligible for receiving one of the 3 SEST 2023 Outstanding Reviewer Awards.

The SEST 2023 Awards will be announced during the conference dinner.

Submission of Abstracts

Prospective Authors are invited to submit extended abstracts (maximum 2 pages & minimum 1000 words, free format) in the form of an electronic file in PDF format until February 15, 2023 (Hard deadline). A document template may be downloaded using this link.

Submissions are managed using the EasyChair platform. To submit your abstract use the submission link below and sign up, or log in with your existing EasyChair account. Create a new submission and fill out the submission form. For the abstract submission, Authors must upload their abstract PDF in the section “Files” of the submission form on the EasyChair platform. In the plain text space under “Title and Abstract”, only a short summary needs to be provided. Also, in the section “Topics”, Authors must indicate which of the listed topics their paper is most relevant to.

The recommended structure of the extended abstract is as follows:

  • Title
  • Authors and affiliations
  • Short summary of the work (abstract of the paper)
  • Keywords (3-5)
  • Introduction: this section should include the problem statement, highlight the importance and expose the innovative aspects of the proposed study in comparison with previous research.
  • Methodology: this section should describe the methods/techniques that are used to address the problem.
  • Results: this section should present preliminary findings (if available).
  • References: the key relevant references should be provided.
  • Figures and tables may be included where appropriate.

Submission of Full Papers

Authors of accepted abstracts are requested to submit their full papers using EasyChair by April 14, 2023. The full papers should have at least 4 pages (with a maximum of 6 pages) following the IEEE paper template. All submitted papers will be peer-reviewed by at least 3 reviewers, and acceptance will be announced for the revised papers on July 5, 2023.

To submit the full papers, the Authors should access their submissions on EasyChair and select the option “Update file”. The PDF of the accepted extended abstract can be replaced with the PDF of the full paper.

In order to be included in the conference proceedings, at least one co-author of each accepted paper must be registered for the conference and present it in location. For more information, refer to the Registration page.
